P Kumar Associates was set up in 1991 and has worked continuously since — never with more than five concurrent sites, and never far from the principal’s own hand.
The firm sets up in Malviya Nagar with three founding-year projects. South Delhi residential becomes the centre of gravity. First DLF Phase 1 work in 1992; first renovation in 1994; first Noida residence in 1999.
Architect partnerships deepen — Kaushal Sheth & Associates, Shah & Associates, and the start of D.D Roy of Design Concept in 2006. The first in-house design year arrives in 2008.
Commercial scale-up. The Narendar Mohan Hospital (2018) becomes the firm's largest project to date. The Sumit Das (Metal Gothic) collaboration anchors the decade's residential work; the EDM Bridge connects two cores at East Delhi Mall.
The largest residential projects in firm history. The DLF Phase 4 villa with D.D Roy (2024) and the EROS Garden Faridabad residence (9,900 sq ft, 2020) both arrive in this decade. The 2025 Malviya Nagar renovation marks a return to the founding neighbourhood.
Doors, windows, cabinetry, and furniture for each project are produced in our own workshop — not sub-contracted. The work that closes a room is held to the same standard as the walls that frame it.
Briefs come direct from the architect or the client. Pieces are built to the drawing, to the room, and to the house they are built into.

“Every floor slab gets a visit. Every door gets shut. That’s the whole brief.”
No project leaves the office without the principal having walked it. Floor slabs, foundations, finishing — all reviewed in person.
We bid on what we can supervise. The portfolio grows by referral and by year, not by headcount.
We collaborate with architects across the spectrum. Briefs vary; the principal's hands-on involvement does not.
